The Houston Dance Posse was founded in 2009 as a Meetup Group as a way to promote the artistic expression of dance, especially to Houston's college students and young professionals. It's the first of the Dance Posse family of brands, as HDP spawned 3 other brands: Houston Country Western Dance Meetup, Houston DanceSport Meetup and The Lindy Stop!
